NOLS Wilderness First Responder

Back in August, I took the plunge and registered for the WFR class in Tahoe and I have zero regrets. It was a 9 day intensive course with every day bringing new experiences and challenges including mock rescue scenarios. The instructors were top notch. I can't recommend them enough and I'm looking forward to my next course or adventure with them as a NOLS Alumni.

I had been following NOLS on instagram thinking one day I might go on one of their leadership adventures, so I decided to look into their Wilderness First Responder aka WFT (sounds like woofer) courses.

I feel so much more confident on backpacking trips knowing I'm capable of medical evaluations and possibly saving someone.
