Your data belongs to you. We only collect what’s needed to fulfill your order and keep your experience smooth. No selling. No sketchy tracking. Just transparency, accountability, and respect for your right to stay in control.
Security Deposit
A fully refundable $175 security deposit is required for all rentals. This deposit covers potential damages, late returns, or cleaning fees. Deposits are refunded promptly after gear inspection. Any deductions will be clearly communicated within 7 business days.
Damage and Loss
You are responsible for the gear during your rental period. Report any damage or loss immediately with photos. Replacement or repair costs may be deducted from your deposit or invoiced separately. Failure to report damages may result in additional fees.
Cleaning Fees
Please return gear clean. If items are returned dirty, a $35 cleaning fee will be deducted from your security deposit.
Rental Periods and Extensions
Rentals start at a minimum of 3 days. Extensions are available upon request and subject to availability.
Late Returns
Timely returns are critical as other renters may be scheduled after you. Late returns may incur fees and affect your rental privileges.
Cancellations and Refunds
Contact us as soon as possible to modify or cancel your rental. Cancellation fees may apply depending on timing.
Commission Rates and Payouts
We offer competitive commission rates. Payouts are issued within 30 days of item sale, minus applicable fees.
Item Acceptance
Items must meet our condition and brand criteria to be accepted. We reserve the right to reject items that don’t meet standards.
Pricing and Markdown
We set pricing based on market data and item condition. Items may be discounted over time to encourage sales.
Unsold Items
Unsold items may be returned, donated, recycled (if applicable), or upcycled after a defined consignment period, which will be communicated.
Seller Responsibilities
Non-member sellers must provide accurate item descriptions and photos. Misrepresentations may result in items being rejected for consignment.

Shipping Methods
We ship all rental gear via UPS Ground, ensuring reliable and trackable delivery within Los Angeles and surrounding areas. Consignment items may ship via approved carriers based on location and item size.
Shipping Times
Please allow 3-7 business days for delivery of rental gear. Shipping times for consignments may vary depending on carrier and destination.
Shipping Costs
Shipping fees are calculated at checkout based on your location and the size/weight of items. WildUp members may be eligible for discounted or free local delivery—see membership details for eligibility.
Shipping Delays
We recommend planning ahead to account for potential shipping delays beyond our control, especially during peak seasons or unforeseen events.
Damages During Shipping
Please inspect all packages upon arrival. Report any visible damage to us immediately by emailing support@articlesincommon.com with photos. We are not responsible for damage caused during shipping.
Lost or Stolen Packages
We are not responsible for lost or stolen packages. We recommend opting to require signature on deliveries to avoid lost or stolen items.
Returns on New Brand Items
Articles In Common brand items can be returned within 30 days of receipt. Items must be unworn, unwashed, unaltered, and returned with all original tags attached. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method or as store credit.
Vintage and Consignment Items
All vintage and consigned items are final sale and non-refundable. These items are one-of-a-kind and sold as-is. Please read product descriptions carefully before purchasing.
Outdoor Gear and Apparel
Outdoor gear and apparel are final sale and non-refundable. Wild Up members may return gear at any time for store credit, provided the items are in reusable condition.
Wild Up Member Returns
Wild Up members receive store credit for returned gear and apparel. Items must be in clean, reusable condition. Members may return items at any time — even after use — as part of our circular model.
Rental Gear Returns
Rental gear must be returned on time and in clean condition. A $35 cleaning fee will be deducted from the security deposit if items are returned dirty or damaged. Late returns may result in additional charges. Please notify us immediately if gear is damaged during use.
Non-Refundable Items
All sale items are final sale. Shipping charges are non-refundable. Items received in unsellable condition may not be eligible for refund or credit.

Payment Terms
We accept all major credit cards and secure payment methods at checkout. Payments are processed immediately. If a payment fails or is declined, your rental or consignment may be canceled. Refunds follow the policies outlined in the Returns section. Late payments or chargebacks may result in additional fees or suspension of your account.
User Responsibilities
By renting or consigning with Articles In Common, you agree to use gear and services lawfully and responsibly. Renters and consignors must care for all gear appropriately, refrain from illegal or negligent use, and comply with all applicable laws and regulations. Failure to do so may result in termination of rental or consignment privileges and forfeiture of deposits or commissions.
Limitation of Liability and Disclaimers
Articles In Common provides gear and services “as is” without warranties. We are not liable for any injury, loss, or damages resulting from gear use or resale. Use gear responsibly and at your own risk. We disclaim liability for delays, interruptions, or errors beyond our control.
Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of California. Any disputes arising from these terms will be resolved in the courts located in California.
Intellectual Property Rights
All content, logos, trademarks, and images on Articles In Common are owned by us or our partners. Unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution is prohibited.
Modification of Terms
We reserve the right to update or change these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page and communicated to members via email where applicable.
