This website is operated by Articles In Common, LLC (“Articles In Common,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By visiting our site and/or purchasing something from us, you engage in our “Service” and agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set forth here (“Terms of Service” or “Terms”), including additional terms and policies referenced or linked herein.

These Terms apply to all site users, including browsers, vendors, customers, merchants, and contributors of content. Please read these Terms carefully before using our site. If you do not agree, you may not use the Services.

We may update these Terms from time to time, and your continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of any changes.

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc., which provides the e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.

 

Online Store Terms

By agreeing to these Terms, you confirm that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence, or you have given us consent to allow your minor dependents to use this site.

You may not use our Services for any unlawful purpose or to violate any applicable laws (including intellectual property laws). You must not transmit any malicious code, worms, or viruses. Violation of these Terms may result in immediate termination of Services.

 

General Conditions

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at any time. You understand that your content (excluding credit card details) may be transferred unencrypted over various networks and adapted for technical requirements. Credit card data is always encrypted during transfer.

You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell, or exploit any portion of the Service without our express written permission.

Accuracy of Information

We strive for accuracy but cannot guarantee that all information on this site is complete, current, or error-free. Any reliance on site material is at your own risk. Historical information is provided for reference only.

Modifications to the Service and Prices

Prices and product availability are subject to change without notice. We may modify or discontinue any Service or product without notice and are not liable for such changes.

 

Products or Services

Certain products may be available exclusively online and in limited quantities.

Returns & Refunds

For purchases made on or after October 13, 2026, eligible merchandise must be returned in the same condition as received and postmarked within 14 days of delivery. A $3.99 restocking fee applies per returned item. Original shipping or delivery charges are not refundable for change-of-mind returns.

For orders delivered within the 48 contiguous United States, choose AIC store credit with a free return label, a refund to your original payment method with a $10.99 return-label deduction, or a refund to your original payment method using return shipping you arrange and pay for. The restocking fee applies to all three options. Amounts paid with store credit are returned as credit. Outside the contiguous 48 states, customers arrange and pay for return shipping.

Only items explicitly marked Sale or Final Sale at purchase are final sale for change-of-mind returns. A resale price below an original-retail or compare-at price does not by itself make an item final sale.

Damaged, defective or inaccurately described items, including sale items, are handled separately. Where the issue is our error, we cover necessary return shipping and waive the restocking fee. Applicable consumer rights are unaffected. See our Returns & Refunds policy for the complete terms, instructions and processing times. For return matters, that policy controls over any conflicting general wording in these Terms.

We have made every effort to display product colors and images accurately, but we cannot guarantee your screen’s display.

We may limit product sales by person, household, or region. Product descriptions and pricing may change without notice. We do not warrant that any product or service will meet your expectations or that errors will be corrected.

Accuracy of Billing and Account Information

We may refuse or limit any order placed with us, including those using the same account, payment method, or address. If we modify or cancel an order, we may notify you using your provided contact information.

You agree to provide accurate, up-to-date account and payment information.

Optional Tools

We may provide access to third-party tools “as is” without warranties. Your use of these tools is at your own risk and subject to the third party’s terms.

Third-Party Links

We are not responsible for third-party sites linked from our store. Please review third-party terms and policies before engaging with them.

User Comments, Feedback, and Submissions

If you send us ideas, proposals, or other content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use them in any medium without restriction. We may remove content that violates these Terms or applicable laws.

You are responsible for ensuring your submissions do not infringe third-party rights and do not contain harmful or unlawful material.

 

Personal Information

Your submission of personal information through the store is governed by our Privacy Policy, which complies with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

Errors, Inaccuracies, and Omissions

We reserve the right to correct errors or inaccuracies and to change or update information at any time without prior notice, including after an order is submitted.

 

Prohibited Uses

You may not use the site or its content for unlawful purposes, solicitation of unlawful acts, violation of laws or regulations, infringement of intellectual property, harassment or discrimination, false or misleading information, uploading harmful code, collecting personal information without consent, spamming, scraping, obscene or immoral purposes, or interfering with security features.

We may terminate your access for violating these rules.

Disclaimer of Warranties; Limitation of Liability

The Service and all products are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind except where required by law. We disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

In no event shall Articles In Common, LLC, its officers, employees, affiliates, or suppliers be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, except where prohibited by law. In jurisdictions that do not allow such limitations, liability will be limited to the maximum extent allowed by law.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Articles In Common, LLC and its affiliates from any claim or demand arising from your breach of these Terms or violation of any law or third-party rights.

Severability

If any provision is deemed unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain valid.

Termination

These Terms remain in effect until terminated by you or us. We may terminate your access immediately if you breach these Terms.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our posted policies, constitute the entire agreement between you and Articles In Common, LLC regarding the Services.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of laws principles.

Changes to Terms

You can review the most current version of these Terms on this page. Updates take effect upon posting, and continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance.

Terms of Service: Seller Services and WildUP

Full-Service Consignment

Articles In Common reviews gear for condition, resale suitability and eligibility before acceptance. A signed consignment agreement and itemized gear-drop schedule establish the accepted items, seller payout, pricing and markdown permissions, handling of unsold merchandise, and responsibility for loss or damage.

Existing signed consignment agreements remain governed by their original terms.

Self-Service Selling

Where available, Self-Service sellers manage their own listings and shipping under the applicable marketplace seller terms. Seller responsibilities, marketplace fees and buyer protections must be disclosed before participation.

WildUP Membership

WildUP is an annual full-service resale membership, currently $96 per year, billed once with no automatic renewal.

For new WildUP consignment agreements, members receive 65% of the eligible sale price when approved gear sells. AIC coordinates product photography, listings, sales and promotion. Membership does not guarantee acceptance of every submitted item.

AIC contacts members within two business days following a paid membership purchase to arrange their first gear review and drop.

Inbound gear shipping is a separate expense paid by the member at the quoted carrier cost before shipment.

Existing signed membership and consignment terms remain unchanged.

Liability and Ownership

Consigned equipment remains the seller's property until sold or otherwise transferred under the signed agreement. Transit and custody responsibilities, insurance, and compensation for loss or damage are governed by the applicable signed agreement and law.

AIC does not automatically guarantee replacement at the item's original retail price.

Shipping Policy: Inbound Consignment

Shipping, Handled.

AIC arranges shipping labels and QR codes for approved inbound gear. Sellers receive and approve the carrier quote before paying the actual shipping charge. AIC does not add a markup.

Labels are issued after payment. Shipping is not deducted from future resale earnings.

Oversized equipment, multiple packages and local pickup require individual quotes. Sellers may arrange their own tracked shipping with AIC approval.

Any subsequent carrier adjustment or return-shipping charge is handled according to the agreed shipping terms. AIC does not make undisclosed deductions from seller payouts.

Returns & Refunds: Memberships

WildUP is a service membership rather than a physical merchandise purchase. The merchandise-return window does not automatically apply to annual membership fees.

Membership cancellation and refunds are governed by the purchase-time disclosures, applicable membership agreement, and law.

Members whose proposed gear cannot be accepted, or who believe an agreed service has not been delivered, may contact shop@articlesincommon.com for review.

This provision does not limit applicable statutory consumer rights.
