As more and more people venture into the outdoors, its more important than ever to ensure we are all following Leave No Trace principles when recreating. ♼
My rule of thumb is = Leave it better than you found it. I bring a small trash bag and gloves on every outing and pack out any trash I find. If you're camping overnight, you can also use empty dehydrated food bags to store waste in.
Please do not leave things like toilet paper, food wrappers, personal hygiene products, food waste like apple cores and orange peels, etc.
Its shocking and disappointing when I see many of these items carelessly left behind. It only takes a minute to glance around and pick up any waste.
The 7 Principles
  • Plan Ahead and Prepare
  • Travel and Camp On Durable Surfaces
  • Dispose of Waste Properly
  • Leave What You Find
  • Minimize Campfire Impacts
  • Respect Wildlife
  • Be Considerate of Other Visitors
